The first edition of the Superprestige cyclo-cross series dates back to the 1982-1983 season. Dutchman Hennie Stamsnijder was the first to claim the overall title. When it comes to the number of overall victories, Sven Nys stands head and shoulders above the rest. With 13 overall wins, he rightfully earns the title of Mister Superprestige. In the women's category, Sanne Cant won the inaugural edition of the Superprestige for women in the 2015-2016 season. With 4 overall victories, the Belgian currently holds the record.
