Last season, Mol was the setting for the first encounter between Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutchman came out on top after a dazzling performance. In the Women Elite race, Lucinda Brand went solo after three laps. She won convincingly around the Zilvermeer, ahead of Shirin van Anrooij.
