A unique, hand-made ceramic medal for each winner of the Telenet Superprestige rounds

A new season of the Telenet Superprestige is starting on Sunday October 20th. The calendar consists of eight rounds, with the first race taking place in Ruddervoorde. Title partner Telenet will give the top three in each elite race this season a hand-made ceramic medal created using the soil of the course itself.

The riders who end up scoring the first victories of the season in Ruddervoorde will receive a unique medal on the podium. Title partner Telenet has provided a hand-made ceramic medal for each round, made from the soil of the course.

Tom Guetens, Head of Sponsorship, Brand Activation & Retail Communication at Telenet: “We are greatly looking forward to the new season of the Telenet Superprestige. We are also very proud to add this extra little touch to the podium ceremony this season. These unique medals, made from the mud on which the riders will compete, symbolise the sacred ground that unites the cyclo-crossers and fans. Good luck to all the cyclo-crossers taking part!”

The top three in each race of the men elite and women elite will receive one of these medals at the end of each of the eight rounds. This adds up to a total of 48 medals, which are engraved with the Telenet Superprestige logo and the location of the round. The medals are a creation by the ceramic artist Barbara D’hondt. In addition, each medal is accompanied by a certificate describing the unique production process. In addition, the riders who top the classifications as overall winners at the end of the season will also receive an exceptional ceramic trophy made from the soil of all eight rounds.
