Joris Nieuwenhuis wins Superprestige finale, Vandeputte secures overall victory

A well-deserved victory for Joris Nieuwenhuis (Ridley Racing Team). After a season full of setbacks due to illness, the Dutchman finally claimed his first win in Middelkerke. In an exciting duel, he held off Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels-Cibel). Meanwhile, Niels Vandeputte (Alpecin-Deceuninck) comfortably secured the overall Superprestige title.

The final round of the Superprestige in Middelkerke delivered suspense until the end. Midway through the race, Eli Iserbyt and Joris Nieuwenhuis made several attempts to break away. Eventually, only Michael Vanthourenhout (Pauwels-Cibel) and Niels Vandeputte managed to stay with them.

A sprint seemed inevitable, but Nieuwenhuis gave it his all in the final lap. With an impressive passage through the sand, he created a five-second gap, enough to solo to victory.

Behind Nieuwenhuis, Vandeputte secured his overall win. The Belgian maintained consistent performances throughout the Superprestige series, finishing with 98 points.
